James (Jim / Joe)SHAWThanks to the family and friends who attended a Celebration for the Life of Jim at Crewe Crematorium on 17th June 2022. Jim, who passed away on 1st June 2022 aged 89, was the beloved husband of Betty, loving dad to Amanda and the late Darren & also a cherished grandad to Kimbirly. Mourners included Mrs B Shaw (wife), Mr & Mrs R Mitchell (daughter & husband), Miss K Shaw (granddaughter), Mr C Oates, Mrs B Williams, Mr & Mrs M Battley, Mr G Hodgson, Mr & Mrs D Salt, Mr & Mrs D Cornes, Mr & Mrs L Powell, Mr & Mrs K Mitchell, Mrs J Taylor, Mr T Proudman, Mr & Mrs H Wallis, Ms S Daley & daughter. We would like to thank everyone who sent flowers, cards and messages of sympathy and support. Special thanks to Caroline Young for taking the service in such a lovely and appropriate way to honor the memory of Jim. Thanks are also due to the staff at The Sydney Arms where we remembered Jim after the service and to everyone who gave donations in Jim's memory to Crewe Heritage Centre. We are extremely grateful to all staff members at Station House Care Home for the care and support they gave Jim since becoming a resident as well as the medical, nursing and care staff at Leighton Hospital for making his final days as comfortable as possible. We would also like to thank Joseph O'Connell, Wendy Wyatt and all the staff at Joseph O'Connell's Funeral Services for the care, understanding and support they have given to us.
