Keith was not just my PhD supervisor but a mentor and guide who profoundly shaped my life. He supported me through the toughest moments of my research, encouraging me when I struggled and teaching me to see challenges as opportunities to grow.

Now, as a lecturer, I carry his wisdom and teaching approach with me, striving to inspire my students as he inspired me. Beyond his brilliance as an academic, Keith’s humor, kindness, and friendship made him truly unforgettable.

Keith, thank you for everything. You’ll always be missed and remembered. Rest in peace -Shan

Keith - who I worked alongside at Northumbria University was a wonderful colleague and friend. He was funny, perceptive and caring, taking time to get to know others and support them. I was grateful that I got to know him, even though we worked in different departments, and often sought his advice. Academia can be a brittle, individualistic world but despite his professional successes Keith always saw himself as part of a community. So much about him seemed grounded in his strong social values, connection to the North East and love of his family. He really was one of the good guys and will be much missed by many.
