The obituary notice of Val SHIELDS

Thinking of Terry and his family, and of Kim, Val's beloved friend, as they deal with the loss of this lovely lady. I didn't know Val personally. She was in the same ward as my mother, in the AMU unit in Morriston Hospital, and was a welcome constant for my sister and I on our daily visits to see our mother. We grew fond of Val in a short space of time, it was hard not to! Terry was so good with her, and always took the time to chat to us, even though his heart must have been breaking, what a lovely man he is. It was also an honour to talk to the wonderful Kim, such love and devotion! The true definition of a friend. My last memory of Val was me blowing her a kiss, and her blowing a kiss back. She looked like a little doll, so delicate and pretty, yet, such a strong lady. She held on for as long as she could, before taking her leave. Now, finally she is at peace, God bless you Val.
