Margaret RowdenSHUTEPeacefully died at the Royal Berkshire Hospital Reading on 14 December 2021 aged 84 years. Dearly loved daughter of the late Arthur John & Ena May Shute, brother Norman John and sister in law Jackie, two nieces and their five adoring children. Margaret worked at Bideford Hospital prior to qualifying at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital in Southernhay as an SRN Sister Midwife at Southmead Hospital Bristol and 48 years ago moving from North Devon District Hospital to the Royal Berkshire Hospital Reading. On NHS retirement she became a community midwife at a doctor practice in nearby Woodley. Frequently greeted by grown up family generations she had delivered she was a devoted Christian. In later years she was pivotal at The Earley Christian Fellowship Parent & Toddler Group respected by parents and loved by the children. School and former work training friendships were mutually maintained and treasured. Burial took place on 4 January at the Mays Lane Cemetery off Wokingham Road Woodley. A Service and gathering of family and friends was held at the Earley Christian Mission Church. If desired donations in Margaret's memory for the British Heart Foundation may be sent to A. B.
