Albert JamesSIMKINPassed away Saturday 6 February 2021. Husband to Maureen for more than 50 years, father to Iain and grandfather to Alex, Matthew, Charles and Edward. He lived his life without compromise and never gave up. No funeral. A memorial will be held once we can all meet again. Best of luck Dad, I hope there's something more. If there is, you're no doubt already reorganising them. Iain

Iain, so sorry to hear the news. Both your Mum and Dad were long time friends of my parents John & Eileen Moorhouse and my mother sends her deepest condolences. I remember Al as a great karaoke singer and both of them at the Gorge Trot parties when I was little. Jane Sutherland

Iain Please accept my condolences on your fathers death. He was a true character. I remember boarding a plane with him in Milan and he said to the flight attendant-Simkins the name Liquid Gold is the game -as he gave her his famous leather coat to hang up.

Iain very sorry to hear about your dad, please accept my sincere condolences. Albert and I had some great times together, super memories of travel and selling. I’m sure he will be doing a deal somewhere.

To the family, I am sad to hear that Albert has passed away please accept by deepest condolences. We had some great times together in the late 1950s. I attach two old photos of Albert in his teenage years, one at Blackpool and the other at Froghall.
