Dorothy "Dee"SIMMONSSIMMONS Dorothy "Dee" Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Hull Royal Infirmary on Monday 8th July 2024, aged 78 years.
She was beloved youngest sister to Gladys, Delores, Alan, Pat and the late Arthur and Mavis, mother to Jayne, Brian and Christine, mother-in-law to Mark and Niki. Grandmother to Aimie, Cory, Josh, Jake, Zach, Eva and Annabel and great-grandmother to Milo.
Dee lived life to the full and was loved and cherished by all who knew her from her days at Silver Cod, Northern Foods Club and Roadside Café in the 70s and 80s to being Hull's 1st female taxi driver serving the community for almost 10 years. Even in retirement she loved to stay active at her allotment and her time as a volunteer at Dove House charity shop on Hessle Road gave her so much joy and fulfilment making friends and treasured memories until just a few weeks before she passed.
She will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts.
Service to be held at Haltemprice Crematorium, Willerby on Monday 29th July 2024 at 2.30pm.
No flowers please, but any donations to be made kindly to Dove House Hospice online or by collection on the day.
Please wear a splash of red as this was Dee's favourite colour.
