SIMON MONJACKScreenwriter Simon Monjack, the British husband of actress Brittany Murphy died after suffering a suspected heart attack on 23 May, 2010.He died at the Hollywood Hills home the couple shared before Brittany's death at 32 just five months earlier.Simon, who was 39, was born in North London and met Brittany through a mutual friend.They married soon afterwards in a Jewish ceremony in LA in May 2007.His screenwriting credits included the films Two Days, Nine Lives (2001), which he also directed, and Factory Girl (2006), starring Sienna Miller as Edie Sedgwick.8 Mile and Sin City star Brittany died of cardiac arrest on 20 December, 2009, in her husband's arms.Simon established the Brittany Murphy Foundation, a charitable fund for children's arts education, in her memory.
