Passed away peacefully at South Chowdene, Care Home, on February 23rd aged 80 years.

A beloved Husband of Eleanor, a dear Dad of John, Billy and Joanne, a very dear Father-in-law of Leanne and a devoted Grandad of Felix and Joel.

Would family and friends please meet for Funeral Service at St Patrick's RC Church, Felling on Wednesday March 20th at 12 noon. Followed by interment at Heworth Cemetery at 12.45pm.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to the Alzheimer's Society.

All welcome to the Greencroft Club after the service to celebrate his life.

Very sorry to hear my dear colleague has passed away. I worked with Joe in the RVI for over 10 yrs. He was a great grafter. & A great guy to work with. We had some fantastic times working together. RIP

My precious father in law, had some good times with you over the last 25 years…. You were amazing, strong, funny, always smartly dressed and always smelt lovely. You worked all of your life and created a lovely family and then came along the little monkey Jo-el who you absolutely adored and treasured and spoilt rotten. He still remembers you and we always tell him about you…. I am glad you were there at our wedding in Mexico and had a few cracking years with your grandson….. my god, u 2 were comical together…U created a gorgeous and caring Son (Billy) who I will certainly look after and love (although he is a pain in the ass sometimes), it’s heartbreaking writing this but you will truly be missed by all…. Love you Joe xxxxx
