GeorgeSIMPSONSadly passed away at Royal Derby Hospital on Friday 2nd October 2026, aged 72 years.

George was incredibly funny, kind, and deeply caring - a man who filled our lives with laughter and unwavering support. A brilliant mind, he was rarely seen without The Times crossword in hand, and his weekends were strictly dedicated to his lifelong passion as a devoted fan of Rangers FC.

A funeral service to celebrate George's life will take place at Trent Valley Crematorium on Thursday 29th October at 11:30am.

Family flowers only please, donations in memory of George to Médecins Sans Frontières and/or the Alzheimer's Society can be given on the day, online or sent care of A.W. Lymn
