Beryl sang with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company, with her late husband Fred. She became a professional director, working all over the country, and locally at Middlesbrough and Northallerton. Beryl was my sister in law and a fantastic person to know. She had many talents from her singing voice to her Direction of musicals etc. She made many friends and admirers and few if any enemies. More important she was such a wonderful person to know.

We had so many good times with Beryl working alongside her at Teesdale School. She was a great teacher and loved by the students.Also fortunate she also taught my son at Dodmire School in Darlington.
