ZbigniewSINICKIZbigniew, widely known as Zed, of Kenstella Road, Newlyn, so very sadly passed away at Ponsandane Nursing home on the 2nd October 2026, aged 86.
In his day, Zed was a lecturer and fire safety trainer to the London Fire Brigade. His main passion though was opera and his powerful tenor voice brought pleasure to many. Since coming to Cornwall he became father to a whippet, Schipa, who took him everywhere, always ending up for a pint with friends. He had a great sense of humour, loved squash, tennis and football, the last only as a spectator as he was a great fan of Chelsea FC.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Claire, his twin sister Zuzanna, his sisters and brothers-in-law, and nieces and nephews, and his many friends and former colleagues.
Zbigniew's funeral ceremony will be held at Penwith Woodland Burial site on Monday 26 October 2026 at 11 am and afterwards at The Pirate Inn, Penzance.
Family flowers only please, but donations in memory of Zbigniew will be to benefit Alzheimer's Research UK. Donations may be received by retiring collection, the online funeral notice, or sent to the Funeral Director at the address below.
