John ReginaldSKEAVINGTONPassed away on Sunday 8th October 2023 in the Queens Medical Centre Nottingham surrounded by his family aged 86. Long serving well respected and much loved former local GP. Devoted husband of the late Sheila, loving father of Charles, Elizabeth and James, grandfather of Charles, brother of Norma and Joan. Beloved companion of Gillian in later years.

The funeral service will be held on Friday 3rd November 2023 in the Church of St John the Baptist, Church Lane, Clarborough DN22 9NA at 12.00 noon, followed by cremation at Sherwood Forest Crematorium New Ollerton.

Family flowers only, donations if desired to Water Aid.

John was a good friend of my dad’s and they use to go fishing together in Scotland hopefully you are together up there with dave driving you both mad about the ones that got away . Thank you for your friendship to all of us .

Dr Skeavington was my families GP for many years. We were so well looked after by such a wonderful doctor.

I have known John since May 1955; until 1962 were good friends but then chose to tread different pathways. In 2016 we renewed our friendship and enjoyed many happy times together until his recent demise. The light of my life has now been extinguished. May he rest in peace.
