Who passed away with his beloved wife Hilary and children Jenny, Helen, Tom and Geoff at his side having battled the effects of a stroke some 5 years ago.
Ray's life was dedicated to the service of others, he taught Physics and then served as a headteacher at various schools and through his work at Churches as a Reader. He also served on the Hockerill foundation.
His wit, wisdom and personality will be missed by all.
Ray's funeral will be held at St Augustine's Church Broxbourne at 11:00 on Monday the 22nd of April. A gathering will be held afterwards at the Hertfordshire Golf and Country Club, Broxbourne from 12:30pm.
Any donations will go to the Hockerill Foundation and the Stroke Association.
