BrianSLATTERYMr Brian Slattery, of Helmshore, passed away peacefully in Royal Blackburn Hospital on Thursday, August 11, aged 85. A former architect and draughtsman, he enjoyed gardening, DIY woodwork, holidaying in the Mediterranean - especially cruises - and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Brian was a family man at heart and loved family gatherings. He leaves behind his loving wife Sylvia, daughter Sara, son-in-law Lee, and his beloved grandson Oliver, along with many friends, who will all miss him dearly. His funeral service and committal was due to take place on Thursday, August 25, at 2.20pm at Accrington Crematorium, led by Rev’d Judith Balkwell. Family flowers only, with donations if desired to The Alzheimer’s Society c/o funeral director Caroline HoldenDewhurst for Johnson, Durning & Woods, Haslingden.
