SMITHAt Hairmyres Hospital on 11th January, 2009, after a long illness EUPHEMIA (Una), beloved wife of the late George Smith, dear mother of June, Christine and Una and nana of Christopher, Ross, Holly and Jade. What you have suffered, you told but few, You did not deserve what you went through, Tired and weary you made no fuss, But tried so hard to stay with us. - June and Richard. Never more than a thought away, Loved and remembered every day. - Christopher. A cheery smile, a heart of gold, She suffered much but never told, So God above knew what was best, He took her home and gave her rest. - Christine and Gordon. In tears we watched you sinking, We watched you fade away, Our hearts were almost broken, You fought so hard to stay, But when we saw you sleeping, So peacefully from pain, We could not wish you back, To suffer so again. - Una and Colin. So lovely, so loving, so loved. Always remembered. - Ross, Holly and Jade. Forever in my thoughts. - Jack. June, Christine, Una and family wish to thank friends, relatives and neighbours for their kindness. We would also like a special thank you to Doctor Kuriakose at Portland Park Medical Centre and nurses and staff at Ward 16, Hairmyres Hospital. The funeral will take place at T & A Fyfe, Hamilton at 9.30am and then at 10.15am at South Lanarkshire Crematorium on Friday 16th January.
