CarlSMITHA lasting tribute, and precious memories, of our dear son Carl, taken too soon, aged just 34 years old. Carl was born in Kempston, Bedfordshire, on 20th March 1984 he went to Kempston Rural Lower School, then onto Robert Bruce School, and finally Hastingsbury Upper School in Wootton, Bedfordshire. Carl lived and grew up in Green End Road, Kempston Rural, until 2004 when the family moved to Norfolk. Carl later moved from Bedford to Norfolk with his family, to join us in July 2015. Carl was a much-loved brother of Lewis and Alex, a dear dad to his daughter Aaliyah, and a much-loved grandson. Our precious son Carl, died on Friday 4th January 2019 after suffering a Cardiac arrest in his sleep. It was later established and expressed by the Coroner that he had died of SADS and last year doctors at the Royal Papworth Hospital confirmed that he had, had, a rare heart condition, called Brugada Syndrome. Carl is missed beyond words, he loved living in Norfolk, close by with his family, Surfing with his brothers, enjoying the woods and the beaches, and tending his allotment. Carl is laid to rest at St Andrews Church, Bacton, Norfolk, just behind the family home. The pain of grief can be unbearable, and the heartache of his loss will live with us all for the rest of our lives. We keep Carl's memory alive by fund raising, plus growing vegetables on Carl's allotment and selling them to raise money for Charity, SADS UK (Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome) and the East Anglian Air Ambulance, EAAA who battled so hard to save him.
