Vita FrancesecaSMITHMarried Dennis Smith, Sons Vincenzo, David Antonio and Patrizio, Grandchildren, Silvana, Mario, Sergio, Elisa and Riccardo, Great Grandchild, Vinny. Vita came to England in 1960, and lived in Bristol with her family, she worked at an Italian restaurant in old market, where she met her future husband, Dennis. The couple courted for over four years until they had approval for marriage from her parents, as the Sicilian custom, they settled in Bishopston where they embraced Sicilian, Irish and English traditions. Vita with her husband took their young son to Sicily to see Vita's family. She later went on to work at the Childrens hospital on St Michaels Hill until she retired, after the death of her husband in 2006 and the loss of her son Vincenzo in 2016, she was heartbroken. To be closer to family Vita moved from Bishopston to Henleaze, where she was able to remain independent and close to her family, she will be greatly missed as La Mamma and La Nonna. The funeral will be Wednesday 21st December at St Bonaventure's Church at 11:30am, family flowers only, donations please to the British Heart Foundation.
