HarrySMITHAt Springhill Hospice, Aged 89, December 13th 2022. Loving husband to Jean and adoring dad to Zoe, Kelvin and Jenny and later a very happy grandad to Carrie, Emma, Eleanor, Victoria, Oliver, Joshua, Tom, Robson and Caitlin. Years later a great grandad to Ryan, Conor, Rory, Owen, Orla and Henry. Will be dearly missed by family and friends. The funeral service will be held on Thursday 29th December at Rochdale Crematorium at 1pm. Family flowers on please. Donations, if desired, to Springhill Hospice. Today we will say our final goodbyes to you. There will be tears, yes but laughter too and enormous pride and admiration because you really were the best Dad anyone could ever wish for. You taught me so much but it never felt like a lesson. You let me make my own mistakes but were always ready to catch me, without recriminations. You gave me a stool to sit on in the garage so I could watch you work and fix things then you showed me how to use tools and gave me some of my own.
It never crossed my mind that there was anything you couldn’t do.
You inspired me to be the best I could be and to follow my dreams.
