DonSMITHSadly passed away on 5th of January 2023 after a short battle with cancer. He will be remembered fondly by the many friends he made while growing up in Denton Burn, raising his family in Jesmond and spending his retirement years in Blyth. But it is his loving family who will miss him most, especially his wife Judy and sons Don Jr and Glenn, his grandchildren Ella, Nathaniel and Molly, and his sister Pat. His funeral will be held on 10th February, 1:30pm at Whitely Bay Crematorium. Those who knew him well will be heartened by the fact he was cracking jokes right to the end, especially when in the company of the incredible Macmillan nurses who made his final days as comfortable as possible.
