Alan JohnSMITHOur beloved brother and uncle passed away unexpectedly age 54, he will be sadly missed by all but is reunited with mam Mary, dad Jimmy and big brother Gerard. His service will be held at Anfield Crematorium at 11:20am on Wednesday 7th June, family have asked if guests could wear an item of Everton blue for Alan on the day. Please join us afterwards at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs. Family flowers only please, but if anyone would like to make a donation in his name, we know Alan would have appreciated support for Alzheimer's Research or SHADO Family Support Centre in Croxteth.

Alan, you were my hero and my inspiration, you still are, and I’ll travel as much as I can in your honour. You were hands down the most interesting and humble person I’ve ever met and I can’t believe I don’t get to talk to you anymore, the world is a duller place without you xoxo

Alan, you are so going to be missed by your big brother James (Jambo!) and me your sister-in-law Chez. You were in my life for 16 & half years and you never ceased to make me laugh. Loved our 'arguments' putting the world to rights, agreeing to disagree most of the time but never ever without a smile and a hug. We are both going to miss The Baby! :-) Will miss your visits over to our house, winding me up and your brother joining in, hogging the TV & just generally being there. Rest easy Al, be there with your mum, dad & brother until we all meet again. Loved & missed for always Jim & Chez xxxxxx

I didn't know my kids held you in such esteem. They even had a nick name for you, which I can't print here. Sleep tight Alan.

You taught us nephews and nieces so much without ever realising. You meant so much to us all and there will be a massive hole in our family but you will always be with us.
Growing up you inspired me to live a full life when listening to all your adventures from around the world!
I will miss asking you about what books you are reading and winding each other up.
