John "Donald" HughSMITHSMITH John "Donald" Hugh (Kenton) Beloved husband to the late Jennifer, brother to the late Maggie, uncle of Alex and the late Sarah, brother-in-law to Phil and Gayle and cousin to Elaine and Susan.
We are deeply saddened to announce that Don passed away at home on Tuesday 31st October 2023.
His funeral service will be held at St. Cuthbert's Catholic Church on Tuesday 28th November at 11:00am, followed by his burial at West Road Cemetery at 12:15pm.
Don's wake will take place at a pub we would go to as a family, The Badger, Street Houses, Ponteland Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE20 9BT.
We would like all funeral guests to pay tribute to Don in whichever way they feel is appropriate, whether it be flowers, a donation to Marie Curie Cancer Care or Blood Cancer UK. These were charities close to his heart.

Our family has sadly become even smaller and Don will be sorely missed.
