Thank you to everyone who attended the funeral yesterday, Dad would have been delighted to see you all there. In memory of Dad, I've just given the cash/cheques donated at the funeral, and additional cash donated at a Rugby Match, to Cancer Research. The total came to £449.50, so many thanks to everyone who donated. Dad was a very enthusiastic advocate of his cancer treatments and took everything he was offered over the last 10 years of his life, enabling him to live well with cancer. I hope the amount given in Dad's name will go a small way towards enabling more people to live well with cancer, or to be cured. Online donations in Dad's name for Cancer Research are still being accepted. Thank you again to the club for hosting and for the lovely buffet. The leftovers were taken to the Salvation Army and gratefully received by hungry and homeless people in our city. I look forward to the day when medical research is properly and centrally funded, and when homelessness and hunger are eradicated, but until then, I'm pleased that some people have hopefully been helped in Dad's memory. Thank you again for attending Dad's 'party', it truly was a celebration of his long and happy life.
