The obituary notice of Trevor John SMITH

I am devastated that you have gone and I will not see you again.
You, both as a person, and my Uncle were so special.
The one and only Uncle I ever had.
My memories are plenty and I shall never forget my Uncle Trev,

Wth much sadness, I leave this message for Nicholas, Christopher, and their families.
Yesterday, Trevor's niece Barbara (Bab's) Steedon asked me to help her send Trevor a birthday message for his 84th birthday . I decided to Google Trevor to make sure the contact details she had were current, and I was saddened and shocked to discover that Trevor had passed away last year.
When I informed Bab's of Trevor's passing she was deeply shocked and distressed. Bab's had been planning a trip from Australia to Leicester to visit Trevor, later this year, so she was completely thrown to learn that Trevor had passed away. Bab's is also saddened that by not knowing of Trevor's passing she was unable to reach out earlier to express her condolences to you both.
I have placed this notice to give you an explanation as to why you did not hear from Bab's sooner so that she can now place a belated message to honour Trevor, whom she has always spoken so highly of. Bab's feels that Nicholas may have contacted Amanda at the time, but a family rift here in Australia may have resulted in Amanda not contacting her to pass on this information.
Please also accept my deepest condolences on Trevor's passing.
