StephenSMITH(Former Player, Coach, Chief Scout and Manager of Huddersfield Town)

On 13th March 2024, Stephen Smith sadly passed away peacefully, aged 77 years.

Dearly loved and loving Husband of the late Judith, loving Dad of Gary and Lisa, Dear Father-in-Law of Deborah, and proud and doting Grandad of Oliver and Isla.

The funeral service will take place at the John Smith Stadium on Monday 8th April at 11am. We ask that people please arrive by 10.30am.

Following the service, Stephen will take his final journey by carriage along Leeds Road and Wakefield Road, to Broad Lane and Long Lane at Dalton before arriving at Kirkheaton Cemetery at 1pm.

By request, family flowers only please. Donations in lieu are for the benefit of Huddersfield Junior Football League and The Jeff Astle Foundation.

will be sorely missed remember going with my dad to watch him play football as a young girl on the terraces of the Old Leeds Road he was also a classmate of my mum when she moved up from Derby RIP Steve
