A Tribute to Shayne

This past Christmas, we lost the man who managed to combine wit, wisdom, and a well-stocked snack drawer into a personality so unique, it could only belong to our father-in-law.

Shayne had a knack for making people laugh, without being PC correct!Whether it was intentional or not.

He was the kind of man who made Christmas mornings special, because he handed out gifts like Santa's understudy.

This year, though, he's upgraded his role. Instead of playing Santa, he's probably up there giving St. Nick some unsolicited advice on sleigh maintenance and cookie pairings. Heaven just got a little louder and a lot more entertaining.

While we’ll miss him dearly, we know he'd want us to laugh more than cry, to cherish his legacy of humor and love.

So here’s to you, Shayne—a man who made the world a brighter, funnier place. May you rest in peace, knowing you’ll always be the star on top of our Christmas tree.

Shayne has taught each of us the lesson of courage, to defy prediction, to be brave and to never give up. Love and miss you, Barry, Beverley and Binky xxx

My beautiful, brave Dad taken from us far too soon. I don’t understand why God had to choose you!
My heartbreaks everyday knowing I will never hear your words or wisdom or feel you hug me tight.
Sleep now Dad, I’ll love you forever xx
