CyrilSMITHIt is with great sadness that we have to announce the death of Cyril Bernard Smith. Cyril was a much loved father to Stephen (Steve) and daughter in law Sharron. Grandpa to Jason and Victoria, Grandpa in law to Emma and Ady, Great Grandpa to Thomas and Eleanor. Born on 20th April 1930 in Stamford Lincolnshire, the only son to Constance Hetty and Alfred Leopold Smith from Ryhall Road.

Cyril passed away peacefully at home in Groby on 1st May 2025 age 95 years Cyril was a kind, intelligent, unassuming and gentle man who loved to read and tend to his garden; known by many in the village as the 'rose man' Cyril retired from TE Cundy age of 70 only having broken his service to join the RAF at Biggin Hill via RAF Cosford where he did his square bashing.

Cyril's funeral will take place at 11:00am on Monday 2nd June 2025 at Loughborough Crematorium.
