Peacefully at home with her husband and daughters present. Valerie, dearly loved wife of George, adored mother of Lorna, Jane and Rachel, much loved mother-in-law to Geoff and Tony, devoted and proud grandma to Jessica, Hannah, Daniel and Grace. Valerie was also a treasured sister to John and the late Stephen and friend of many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends please meet for Valerie's funeral service on Thursday 7th May at The West Road Crematorium at 1:15pm.
Family flowers only please, donations in lieu will be received on the day with proceeds going to Ovarian Cancer Research. A donation box will be available at the crematorium.
By family request, black clothing is not required. Those attending may wear colour, in remembrance of Valerie's love of bright attire.
All are welcome following the service to continue the celebration of Valerie's life at Benwell Hill Cricket Club.
