I first met Sam in 1993 working at The Stourvale pub in Christchurch, we hit it off straight away with our shared love of cider and Pink Floyd, every memory I have is a happy one, Sam always had a huge smile and lit up the room with his loud voice and laughter, swearing at the customers at last orders and wobbling home on his unicycle. After moving to Scotland in 1996 we still kept in touch, albeit not very often, I remember Sam telling me when he met Claire, he was head over heals and anytime we spoke about our children in later years I could feel his pride gleaming through his messages. I will remember Sam as a great friend and a loving family man who wore his heart on his sleeve, I am privileged to have such happy memories and look forward to one day meeting again. RIP Sam ❤️

To my wonderful big brother, Sam and to the funny and crazy uncle Sam. Thank you for all the laughs, love and memories. Welsh rugby games will not be the same without our texts before and after each game. Mali and Elin will miss your crazy birthday and Christmas presents (thanks again for the swords and constant bouncy balls!). We all miss you already. Love Hannah, Luke, Mali and Elin xxx
