IanSMITHIESMr Ian Charles Smithies, of Clarence Road, Accrington, died on Friday, May 21, aged 78. Ian worked as an electrician, and later as a publican in the local area. He enjoyed socialising, and holidays in Benidorm with friends. He leaves sisters Avice, and late brother-in-law Les, and Janice, and brother-in-law Allan, niece Lesley, husband Barry, and son Ben, nephew Darren, and daughters Madison and Phoebe, niece Andrea, husband Paul, and sons Connor and Reece, and will be sadly missed by his friends. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 9, at 9.40am at Accrington Crematorium, led by Kathy Unsworth. Family flowers only. Funeral director: Hyndburn Funeral Services, Oswaldtwistle.
