GeraldSOLKOWSuddenly on Tuesday 19th March 2024 at his home in Trentham, Gerald aged 93 years (formerly of Penkhull).

The dearly loved husband of the late Hilda Solkow, much loved stepdad to Nick, dearest father-in-law of Lisa, a dear cousin, special friend to Edna and a good friend to many.

A funeral service will take place at London Road Synagogue, Newcastle-under-Lyme, on Sunday 14th April at 12 noon, followed by interment in the Synagogue burial ground. All those wishing to attend kindly meet for the service.

No flowers please, donations can be given in memory of Gerald for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

You’ll be missed, Gerald, you were a wonderful character round the village of Penkhull. I remember helping you round the pub crawl when we were singing with the clay chorus together a few years back. Penkhull life will be a bit duller now. It was good to have known you, rest in peace. Xx
