Suddenly at home on Wednesday 17th July 2024 aged 66 years. Alwyn will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral service to be held at the West Road Crematorium on Thursday 5th September at 2.45pm.

No flowers please, donations if so desired to Alzheimer's Society, Water Aid or MAG (Mines Advisory Group)

Afterwards welcome back to Benwell Hill Cricket Club for refreshments

I only knew Alwyn by his pen name, 'Toon Traveller', but the world is a poor place with his passing.

I only knew Alwyn under his writers pseudonym of 'Toon Traveller', but his excellent music reviews were always amusing, insightful, and knowledgeable. I am saddened by his passing. The world is now a far poorer place without him.
