Gail, I met you and Debs when you both joined the ‘Curves & Co The Gym’, some 26 years ago; and not only did Debs become my best mate, you became a damn good mate right through to the end. Your quirky sense of humour, which made Debs and Dawn roll their eyes in embarrassment at times, had me belly laugh til I cried! Maybe it was our star signs being the same, and our birthday’s also so close together; whatever it was, we appreciated each others dry sarcasm, and often naughty sense of humour. I’m going to miss you very much, just being a call or a text away, we’ve had such epic chats, more recently with the help of Alexa (aka Bob!!). I wish with all my heart that I could have driven to see you since your symptoms started, just to see you one last time; alas I couldn’t. And, although I did message, I wish I’d had tried harder to speak one last time; I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you towards your final few months. You’ve worked hard all of your life, dedicating your time to putting food on the table, paying your way, and never asking for handouts. You’ve raised two wonderful, intelligent, strong and independent women in your daughters, of which I know you are immensely proud; this pride extends to your 4 grandchildren. Whilst I’m immensely saddened that you’ve gone far too soon, what you’ve achieved by bringing up your own ‘pride’ of cubs, I guess God has decided that your job has been done here on earth; time to go back to your fur babies who’ve been waiting patiently for you. Goodnight my friend. Til we meet again. Love and will miss you loads XXX
