The obituary notice of Penny SPENCE

Wanted to say just how much I miss you Mum, just to hear your voice again, hug you, that will sadly never happen nor will I ever see a text or email from you.
I still have emails that you sent me, many with receipes (including your famous stilton n broccoli soup) what plants you have and what you think will be suitable for us to grow, you loved your plants and garden.
I can't believe how fast time has gone as I write this, it is nearly 23 months since we said our goodbyes. I think of you every day, me and Dean speak about you when we see things that remind us of you, like when Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing on Ice are on and who would be your favourite.

One whole year without you.

I am thankful for all the teaching and wisdom you shared with me. In life, in every step I make, I make sure you’re honoured. I hope I made you proud.

Through the years, you simply took life in your stride, embracing the happy moments along with the sad, accepting everything for what they were. I didn’t always understand or appreciate everything you did. I was a child with my own innocent perception of the world.

Now, I can reflect with such admiration and respect for the remarkable woman and mum you were then. I aspire to be half as extraordinary as you were, even after just one year has passed Mum.

Many friends and family of yours came to say their goodbyes to you and lots of your friends said to me what a lovely friend you were to them, you were a very popular person.
I will think of you every day and remember the good times we had, loved you for 54 years.
