I have lots of lovely personal memories of time spent with Uncle Roy and this is what he was like: a devoted husband, a loving and caring father and godfather, skilled and practical with a dry sense of humour..
Thinking of you fondly

Wishing family and friends strength after such a sad loss. I'll always remember Uncle Roy's amazing stories and contagious laugh and smile.

I have so many childhood memories of Uncle Roy. I remember sitting on his knee for hours listening to his stories and picking the fish scales off his hands. He was always a sort of hero to me! Such a sad loss. Wishing family and friends sincere condolences.

I have happy and fond memories of dear Uncle Roy and Auntie Mavis. I spent hours at their house as a child and Uncle Roy defended my first crew cut when I was about 8 to his beloved sister - my mum Joan. Nephew David

So pleased to have seen Roy and Mavis before I left for New Zealand in 2003. Roy's laugh, his grin and his way of telling a story stick in my mind. Rest easy uncle Roy.
