Avril EdithSTAINTHORPEThe Family of Avril Edith Stainthorpe are sad to announce that after a short illness Avril died on Saturday 26th February in James Cook Hospital at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of Eric, treasured Mum of Claire, Neil and Elaine, devoted Grandma of Amy, lovely Auntie, kind neighbour and good friend to all. We are so very grateful for the loving kindness, support and dedicated care shown to our family, but particularly to Avril, by all staff whilst in the Stroke unit, Ward 28, of James Cook Hospital. Also, heartfelt thanks to the paramedic and ambulance team for their prompt and caring attention. Avril could not have been better served. A celebration of Avril's life will be held in a memorial service at St. Andrew's Church, Ingleby Greenhow on Thursday 10th March at 1.15pm, following a private cremation. No flowers please. There will be a collection in church in lieu. Thank you. The dress code is a splash of colour, nothing sombre, no black ties please.
