Messenger JohnSTANLEYJohn STANLEY MESSENGER of Glastonbury. Passed peacefully 17th March 2013 aged 96. Stanley was a philospher, metaphysician, actor, teacher, social worker, writer, lecturer, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many.
Stanley was buried in St James the Great Church in Winscombe, Somerset on 4 April 2013
Celebration of Life in Glastonbury to be announced.
Profound thanks to the staff of St Benedicts Nursing Home for their exquisite care.

Some may be interested to know that there is a mention of Stanley in a book called The Worm Forgives the Plough when he briefly met the author who worked alongside him one day during World War Two harvesting potatoes on a farm in Sussex.
