JohnSTAPLETONJohn Stapleton from Peverell, Plymouth, originally from Awsworth, Ilkeston. Suddenly passed away on Saturday 21st January 2023. He was aged 75. Eternal thanks to the good people of Plymouth who came to the aid of John during his last moments, and especially the emergency services, Devon Air Ambulance, in particular. Dearly beloved husband of Lucy and beloved father of youngest son, James. He will be sorely missed by his children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and dear friends, in Plymouth, Derbyshire and across the world, including Royal Marine brothers, Whitbread, Relate and Civil Service colleagues, Hash House Harriers and Scottish walking pals. John found his true vocation supporting countless young people in secondary schools across the city. He will be immeasurably missed. John's funeral will take place on Friday 3rd March at Ford Park Cemetery Chapel at 12.30, followed by cremation at Weston Mill Crematorium at 14.00. (attendance at crematorium is not restricted but optional). Black attire not obligatory, colourful clothes welcome. Please do not send flowers however donations, if so desired, would be gratefully received to Devon Air Ambulance Trust, in John's memory. www.daat.org/donate/donate-now I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways; of happy times Laughing times and bright and sunny days I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave when life is done "Now cracks a noble heart. Good night, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest". Co-op Funeralcare 12-14 Morshead Road Plymouth PL6 5AJ 01752 303830
