JoanSTEELEJoan Steele, of Hud Hey Road, Haslingden died on Friday, November 13 at The Lindens Rest Home, Haslingden, aged 89. Wife of the late Leslie, and sister of the late Annie and Alan, she leaves her loved ones. Joan was a sewing machine supervisor with Suntex of Haslingden before retirement. In her youth she was a Sunday school teacher at St John’s Stonefold and a noted swimmer. Her funeral will take place on Thursday, November 26 with service at St James Parish Church, Haslingden at 1pm followed by interment at Haslingden Cemetery officiated by Rev. Andrew Holmes.
