Gerald FrederickSTEWARTSadly passed away on the 1st July 2024, aged 90 years. Much loved husband of Kathleen. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A graveside service as per Gerry's wishes will be held on Friday 19th July at 2pm in St Margaret's Churchyard, Alderton. Parking is available at the Gardeners Arms.

Bright and colourful clothing please and flowers are welcome but NO funeral wreaths.

Gerry was for 26 years the brilliant local correspondent of the Open Spaces Society - tireless, courageous, indefatigable - he saved many paths from closure and diversion, and waymarked many more. Walkers in Gloucestershire and beyond have Gerry to thank for their enjoyment of the paths. Thank you Gerry for your years of selfless work on behalf of the public. We send our commiserations to the family, and assure you that Gerry leaves a fine legacy and he will not be forgotten.
