Betty AnneSTOAKLEY (FORMERLY STUART)Betty Stoakley passed away peacefully on Sunday, 13th April 2025. Family was a focal part of her life and Betty was a much-loved mother and grandmother, who spent most of her life in Woking and Guildford where she brought up her daughters, Susan, Mary and Judy, and son, Jonathan, and where she always welcomed her five grandchildren, Nick, Alice, Olly, Poppy and Red, and extended grandchildren Ben, Kat, Megan and Gareth, with an open heart. She was a valued neighbour and friend, who loved the companionship and support of the community around her in George Road, Guildford where she lived happily for thirty-seven years.

Betty's funeral and celebration of her life will take place at Guildford Crematorium at 11.15am on Tuesday 13th May 2025.

She requested donations, in lieu of flowers, to Cancer Research www.funeraldirector.co.uk/betty-stoakley

We often used to visit Betty and my Dad with very happy memories of gigantic family roast dinners at George Road. Megan is holding her favourite brown bear, made for her by Betty and which she still has in her own home in Carlisle.

Betty,
We have some lovely memories of times shared with Judy and you.
You were a good and supportive friend to me, and to the children, you were as loving as a grandmother.
We will always remember you fondly and miss you dearly.
With Love,
Dave, Ben and Kat

My wife Connie and I were sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. Betty was so gracious to us during our visit with her and Rowland in 2006. Our condolences to her family! With kind regards, Tom and Connie Stoakley, Melbourne, Florida

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you mourn the loss of Betty, mother &grandmother. As part of her extended family I met Betty many years ago with my mother Elsie (they were cousins) I find it hard to accept that their generation is all gone.
My best memory of Betty is a luncheon at Mary's. There's a picture somewhere of two cousins reconnecting with huge smiles on their faces ... That's how I will remember them.
Love to all
Pamela and Peter Poulin.
Canadian cousins.
