Gillian DorothySTOCKERPassed away peacefully on Saturday 1st October at Broomfield Hospital with friends by her side. Adored wife of Stephen, cherished daughter of Dorothy and Alf, and much loved niece and cousin, Gillian was a great friend to many, and she was dearly loved by them all. Her working life was devoted to the education of children and during her long and successful career her contributions to educational and social improvements were significant. Mrs. Stocker was loved by her pupils in all the various capacities in which she worked over the years. Gillian's funeral service will take place on Monday 24th October at 2.30pm in the South Chapel, Chelmsford Crematorium, Writtle Road, Chelmsford, CM1 3BL. Flowers are reserved for close family members only please. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Gillian's memory to her chosen charity, the Royal Papworth Hospital Charity. To do this online, go to funeral-notices.co.uk and search on Gillian's full name. Alternatively, there will be a collection at the Crematorium.

Thank you so much Gill for putting your trust in me, for all your support and encouragement and for your friendship over 34 years.

How fortunate my daughters were to be educated at your wonderful school, which gave them such a great start in life!

How fortunate I was to work alongside you at Great Berry, for 14 amazing years and I will always be immensely grateful for all the many opportunities which you gave me.

Your energy, enthusiasm and zest for life will be very sadly missed by all my family and we will always treasure our many precious memories.
