Although I Only Knew of Dave's passing a few weeks ago I'm so sorry to hear about this, my heart goes out to Dave's wife and family, and Dave he was honest, reliable, trustworthy. Dave had been a great support to me many years ago, he really truly had something that I respected, we both had the same interests in motorcycle's and Dave took me on the back of his bike occasionally until I managed to get my own bike, where at the time Dave let me put my bike in his back garden until I sorted my insurance out. I do remember myself and Dave doing some painting on a house together, work it's not supposed to be fun but it was, it really does make all the different who your with when you're working or just doing whatever, and Dave was one of them people that if I spent time with him I went away feeling good for it, and although I had not seen Dave for some time I'll always hang on to the memories. I know they will just naturally flow through my mind forever. God bless to Dave's wife and all his family RlP

Dave, you are indeed one of the few winners who stayed on 'The Road Less Travelled' for the duration.
It was great to have known you.

Today we say good bye to our legend of a uncle DAVID.
Sadly diagnosed with cancer and unfortunately was taken far too early .
As a family we all had five weeks to digest the diagnosis but with high hopes we hoped he would survive .
Unfortunately this wasn't to be true .

It's like a end of a era .
The stockman home where my nana and my uncles and their sisters all grew up . He was the last of the siblings to live there with his lovely wife Sheila and her children.

Sheila was a absolute ray of sunshine in Dave's life and brought him so much love and affection which helped him over come so many things.
She brought him happiness and joy and a reason to stay focused .
Sheila for that we can never thank you enough .
Dave went through many struggles in his younger life of which he battled and over come and with your help he truly had the beautiful life he deserved .

Sheila we are thankful for all you have done and standing by his side . We love you with all our hearts 💗

Dave you were a kind and understanding man ..
Very to the point and honest .. your funny jokes and cheeky comments made you who you were .

Ice creams for breakfast and pasties for lunch .. part of your regular day :)
All the kids loved coming to see you and you left a huge imprint on us all .

Every child who was around you had the chance to be their own musician . Even if they were not so good lol especially my kids my gosh they were definitely not so great on the guitars. But you let them express them selves anyway .
You showed each child they can express them selves through music .
You never complained and actually enjoy the chaos of the kids :)

Saying that you were a bit like Peter Pan never willing to grow old and a child at heart yourself.

The last time me and the kids saw you we never knew was going to be our last .
But I'm so glad they had the chance to have a jamming session with you like all your other grandchildren and nieces and nephews before them . They had the bond which they will

God saw he was getting tired, and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around him, and whispered come with me.

With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away
Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best.

The best grandad to Reece, Eloise, Austin, Xavier & Theo .
You’ve provided them with so many happy memories

Can’t believe it’s 2 weeks since you left us …..
There are no words to express,
What you meant to me
And for being the Dad, you did not heave to be
A beautiful person, with a wonderful heart
I miss you so much, since we had to part
We may not have been related by blood
But you loved me more, than anyone ever could
I’ll treasure the measure and try not to feel sad
Because I was sooo lucky…..
To have the perfect Stepdad xxxx
