Edward (Eddie)STONESPassed away peacefully on the 19th July at Scunthorpe General Hospital, aged 89 years. Eddie is loved and remembered by his wife Maureen, daughter and son-in-law Andrea and Pete, grandchildren Adam, Sophie and Emily and great-grandchildren Lauren and Charlie. During his many years as a driving instructor around the Isle of Axholme and Scunthorpe, Eddie helped countless people get behind the wheel and will be remembered fondly by many for his endless patience and kindness. A funeral service will be held at St Oswald's Church, Crowle on Tuesday 2nd August at 11am, followed by burial in Crowle cemetery. Family flowers only please, if desired donations for the benefit of the Children's Hospital Charity, Sheffield Children's Hospital, may be left at the service or sent care of : R Wallace & Son, Funeral Directors, 27 High St, Crowle, DN17 4LD : 01724 488565.

Deepest sympathy to all of Eddies family on your sad loss.Our family grew up in Crowle and in turn Eddie taught each of us to drive.We have all moved away going on 40 years ago but we have very fond memories of Eddie whos patience had no bounds !! May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Very sorry to hear this. Eddie and Maureen were very close to my Mum and Dad for many years and very kind to my Great Aunt Dora. Dad and Maureen were friends since they were children as well as being relatives. A very sad loss. RIP Eddie.
