My beautiful Barbara who called me her sister and nurtured a friendship that lasted from childhood over 70 years and reached halfway around the world You had all the qualities to ensure a lasting relationship Loyalty, gentleness, softness, caring, sharing but above all a heart that was full of unconditional love. It bound our lives together. Thank you for enriching my life To my family Ray, Hazel, Peter, Kate and their children and loved ones I wrap you around in love thoughts and prayer
Beyond the sunset when day is done

I have lovely memories of working alongside Barbara as a Marie Curie nurse. Barbara’s compassion and care for all her patients, their families and the team she worked with were exemplary. Rest in peace Barbara and deepest condolences to all her family who she loved so dearly and so deeply.

Very saddened to learn of the passing of Barbara. A really lovely lady, and always a pleasure to be in the company of. It is about three years since we last met in front of Saltburn's Railway Station concourse, when I was introduced to Ray. Barbara always showed tremendous courage in dealing with health matters. And, it was always a pleasure to have welcomed Barbara to my clinics before I retired from my role as an NHS podiatrist.
My condolences to all who are grieving their loss. I'm sure Barbara is at peace.
