Michael StephenSUDDERSof Clayton-le-Moors died peacefully in hospital, with his loving family by his side, aged 75 years on June 18.
The dearly loved and loving husband of Pauline, much-loved dad of Kathryn and son-in-law Andrew, and devoted G-Man of Tabitha.
Michael was very well known in the area as the local hairdresser on Pickup Street. Always busy and always friendly, he loved people, loved to talk and had the wonderful ability to find common ground with everyone he met. A larger-than-life character, Michael had the most distinctive laugh; you would often hear him before you saw him. He was always laughing, full of humour and he had a real love for life. Michael was also a keen cyclist and loved nothing more than cycling around the Ribble Valley, enjoying the fresh air and the outdoors. A keen gardener, he was at his happiest when outside. Michael loved his holidays, especially to Greece and Italy, where he enjoyed the sunshine and a glass of ouzo. Michael had been a lifelong Beatles fan.
First and foremost he was the most caring and devoted family man. He doted on Pauline, his childhood sweetheart and together they were the perfect pair. A true family man, Michael will be remembered with so much love, today and always.
The service will be held in All Saint's Church, Clayton-le-Moors, on Tuesday, June 30 at 1pm followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium.
Donations in lieu of flowers in memory of Michael are being gratefully received on behalf of East Lancashire Hospital c/o
