How very sad. I was also in Alex’s first form and have abiding memories of him during, and after, life at Hymers. We kept in touch for some years and I tried to reestablish contact, 5 years ago, before I last visited. Along with Graham Watson, Alex was the only Master to show an ounce of humanity towards the pupils. A Wonderful man. Sincere condolences to Barbara and Sarah and his Family🙏X

Our sincere condolences to both Barbara and Sarah for their very sad loss.

Alex supported The RNLI and was a member of The RNLI Beverley Guild/Branch, together with Barbara. Performing with great enthusiasm, Alex fulfilled various roles within the Committee. He
was a very giving and caring person who devoted many hours to the charity and will be sadly missed, not only as a colleague but as a friend.
Our thoughts are with you,
from all the members of
RNLI Beverley Branch Committee

Alex was my sons form teacher for 2 years when he attended hymers
My son benefitted greatly from his chemistry teaching which skills he uses regularly in his job preparing contaminated land reports
He will be sorely missed
