Goodbye Dear Mr Sweeney

So terribly sad to read of the death of the wonderful Jack Sweeney. It will soon be fifty years since I was in his A level French class and the love I had for him is still bright. I doubt if there has ever been a greater or a better loved teacher. My debt to him is immense. I wrote to him shortly before he died and I hope my letter gave him some feeling for how much I loved him.
With everlasting love and eternal gratitude, David Sparks (A level French class of 1968)
