I was so lucky to have a wife like you, So patient and thoughtful, caring and true, You coped with our needs and put up with our moods You pampered us all with our favourite foods. You settled squabbles however tough With understanding, fairness and love. You did all the things that a mum should do, Our house was a wonderful home because of you, And when each busy day came to an end As a loving wife, mum, counsellor and friend. Then you gave me a hug and a smile so sweet That every time it knocked me off my feet And I know in my heart that you will always be The only love for ever and always for me.
