Dear Onkar, It has been a week now since we said our final farewells. You left us too soon, we didn't get to give you the send-off you deserved. Speaking to those who mattered most – close family and friends; those who really knew you throughout your lifetime, we will all treasure every moment – fun times, hard times but always caring times.
Nobody is perfect, but everyone was born with a loving heart, sincerity and goodness. Regardless as to whether circumstances change people; let’s just remind each other that we are all in this world together, and we try to do the best we can. Remember our love will always remain and always be restored wherever you are.
The family times we all shared at Northumberland Street, Cambridge Street, ‘61’ and Peartree; together with your happy times in Heanor are filled with memories to cherish forever.
You definitely made a name for yourself, from being a keen athlete at Rykneld and someone who actually enjoyed maths; going on to have your own market stall, renting marquees and doing whatever else came your way.
You were someone who often ventured into the unknown; helping those who could help themselves but chose not to. All we asked was for you to take time for yourself, take care and be true to you because you deserved it. We fought for you as hard as we could, but the decision to give you a chance was taken out of our hands. Now all we ask is for you to rest in peace.
You may be gone for now, but you live forever in our memories and in our hearts. It has not always been an easy ride but as a real family that Dad and Bibi nurtured and brought together; we have shared a lifetime of memories many filled with laughter, joy and happiness – memories nobody can ever take away. Love always, Meena xx

My brother Onkar even though we were physically far apart you always will be in our hearts. I will cherish the memories we had together in the UK. You had a heart of gold and always were willing to help everyone. My children adored you and loved staying up late with you to watch WWF. You made us feel so welcome. Miss you a lot and love you forever. Guru Maharaj apne charana vich niwas bakshan.
