John HargreavesTATTERSALLMr John Hargreaves Tattersall of Sunnybank Close, Helmshore formerly of Stacksteads, died suddenly in the Royal Blackburn hospital on Tuesday, September 19, aged 75 years.
A service will be held at the Chapel of Rest on Thursday, September 28 at 11.40am, followed by cremation at Burnley Crematorium at 12.15pm conducted by Ms Gemma Rooke.
Born in Rossendale John had lived in Stacksteads all of his life until moving to Helmshore in 2020.
He worked with his father at the family business
D W Tattersall & Son Butchers in Stacksteads for many years, during which time he was president of the Rossendale Butchers Association. He later became a self-employed courier prior to his retirement. John loved cooking and walking his dogs Bonnie, Ruby and Lola. He enjoyed frequenting the Commercial Pub and playing bowls for the Rose and Bowl in Stacksteads. After moving to Helmshore, he became a member and played bowls at the Sunnybank Social Club. He leaves his wife of 43 years, Anne, daughters Shelley and her partner Andy, Lianne and her husband James, son Andrew and his wife Rachael. Grandfather to the late William, he leaves grandchildren Chloe, Jessie, Rose, Anna, Frankie-Belle and Hollie, brothers Robert and Douglas, nephews, nieces and many friends.
